Xe Services Names Retired Colonel James B. Hickey as Military Liaison Leader for Future Business Opportunities

June 22, 2011 – New York, NY – USTC Holdings, LLC, the investor consortium that acquired Xe Services, LLC including its main holding U.S. Training Center, Inc. (USTC) in December 2010, today announced that retired Col. James B. Hickey has been named the Company’s Military Liaison for Global Training and Security.

Col. Hickey’s primary role at Xe will be to identify and develop future opportunities for Xe and its key customers. Xe Services, led by its new board and leadership, has committed itself to creating an industry-leading management team as part of the Company’s latest chapter of growth. Col. Hickey’s addition to the team is the most recent step in that process.

A 28-year veteran of the U.S. Army with multiple overseas deployments, Col. Hickey took command of 1st Brigade, 4th Infantry Division (Mechanized) in the summer of 2003 and led the brigade through a year of combat operations in Saladin Province. The brigade and special operations troops under Col. Hickey’s command were credited with the capture of Saddam Hussein on December 13, 2003.

Col. Hickey’s military service has been recognized throughout his career, with commendations for both valor and merit. Most significantly, the soldiers under his command were recognized with a brigade-wide Valorous Unit Award.

“We’re so privileged to have someone of Jim’s stature and experience join us at Xe,” said Ted Wright, Chief Executive Officer of Xe Services. “It is this kind of talent and know-how that enables us to set the bar for operational excellence across our industry.”

“Xe Services provides critical support to U.S. government operations around the world,” said Col. Hickey. “It will be my job to ensure that Xe understands our military customers’ needs and continues to provide the best-in-class service that our customers have come to expect. I look forward to continuing to serve in my new capacity.”

“Jim Hickey is a senior leader of outstanding character, integrity and vision,” added General Jack Keane, retired four-star general and former Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army. “Innovative, focused and agile, he has made huge, positive contributions protecting our nation during the last 10 years of war. Looking forward, he will now bring these powerful talents and attributes to bear for Xe and its customers.”

Upon acquiring Xe and its core operating businesses last year, USTC Holdings, LLC indicated its desire to rebuild the company, now totally divested of its previous leadership, into a new entity with enhanced governance, leadership, accountability and transparency. Hickey’s addition to the management team represents the next step in this new phase of corporate development.

Xe continues to have the best performance record and assets in the industry, making it a valued support tool to U.S. strategy abroad and in the domestic training of the U.S. military.
